Sexual Assault or Rape
Te tukinga hokaka, te pawhera ranei
No one has the right to touch you sexually or make you do something against your will. No one deserves or asks to be raped.
If you think this has happened to you it is important to talk to someone about it.
You may want to talk to a friend or someone in your family. Sometimes it can be easier to talk to someone you don't know. There are organisations throughout the country that help people who have been sexually abused, assaulted or raped.
You will need to look under 'Rape Crisis' or 'Sexual Abuse' in your local phone book. You could also call someone at a Family Planning Clinic or Youthline on 0800 376 633.
